Big Mountain Team
2023/24 Freestyle Membership Renewal – All Freestyle participant’s must have a membership to participate. Membership is $115 and covers liability insurance ($50 Freestyle BC/$65 Freestyle Canada). Skip this step if you already have your 2024 membership.
Invite
An Invitation from the Head coach or Program Director is required prior to signing up for this team. An Assessment period may be required for coaches to get to know the athletes better and for athletes to see if it’s a program they will have success in. If you did not receive an invite and are interested in this program, please contact [email protected]. In the subject box specify “Big Mountain Team”. Program Description
The Big Mountain Ski Team is for aspiring young freestyle skiers ages 13+. Athletes on the Big Mountain Team are making a serious commitment to developing their skills in big mountain environment skiing. Also known as “Freeride” the Big Mountain Team competes at 3 or more IFSA Jr. Freeski events. Two of the classic events that this team will attend are Whitewater and Revy. Other events may be an option if the team as whole decides. A “Freeride Camp” in Revelstoke may also be offered as an included activity.
The Big Mountain Team is a 3 day per week program (Thursday, Saturday, Sunday) with a dedicated Big Mountain Coach.
- Develop skills in the disciplines of free skiing, air, and terrain analysis.
- Individualized programs to meet the needs of the athletes’ desires and the stage of their development.
- Total available ski days approximately 60 days with the team – includes training and three competitions. Fees applied for for additional events.
Coach
Henry Williams is a passionate freeride athlete and coach. He has experience skiing in New Zealand, Canada and abroad. Henry is looking forward to leading the SS Freestyle Big Mountain team and supporting athletes at competitions this season.

Registration
- Base Fee Team $2650 program fees.
- Competition Fees – 3 competitions are included for athletes. After three events coach travel expenses will be invoiced.
