Regional Club Events are local and introduce SS Freestyle Ski and Snowboard members into the competition environment. At Silver Star SS Freestyle hosts at least one event per season called the Send It Land It Nailed it. In 2022/23 SS Freestyle is seeking volunteers to host more Send It Land It Nailed it events. Athletes participating in these events should do so to have fun and get a positive experience. It’s important athlete “do the best” they can do. There is no pressure to take the biggest air, send it beyond one’s abilities or get on the podium. There is almost a guaranteed chance of getting a prize or at the very least a hot dog! These events are a fun and low-pressure way to introduce new and young skiers/riders to the fun that can be had in competing on snow.
To cap off the ski season, SS Freestyle hosts the annual Hot Dog Moguls jam and Skillz Rodeo. While Club athletes get to participate in a wide range of freestyle activities including the mogul course jam, park station, jump station, freeride station and more. Parents are welcome to watch and especially come out and have fun volunteering.
Our annual Riders Spring Jam is a local event held at Silver Star Mountain Resort and all SS Freestyle athletes are expected to participate in the inclusive judged competition. Terrain is chosen to showcase and include all levels of our athletes and the event is used as a demonstration of skills learned over the Winter programs for our athletes. Parents and Club members are encouraged to volunteer for the event and we invite all parents and families to come and enjoy the show put on by our athletes.
