    Fall Training

    Get prepared for training this winter.  Fall programs open now: SNOWBOARD – Fall Training

    Riders ½ Day  is a super fun program for snowboard riders who have accomplished blue runs.  This is a ten-week half-day program on either Saturdays or Sundays.  There are AM or PM options each day.    

    This program follows Canada Snowboard’s “Riders Program ” pathway. Riders are placed into blue and black level groups before heading out.  The snowboarders in this program ride with trained Canada Snowboard coaches and focus on the basic skills needed for safety in slopestyle, jumps, boxes and rail features in the Terrain Park, freeriding, and SBX (Boarder Cross). Athletes will learn about the core skills of snowboarding and will be introduced to competition and how to warm up, cool down, and have fun.  

    Minimum skill level: riders must be able to load a chairlift unassisted AND must be able to confidently do toe and heel-edge turns on blue runs.

    Half Day Ages 7+: Program Information

    Riders Team is a super fun program for snowboard riders who have accomplished blue and black diamond runs and who are interested in improving their skills.  This is a ten-week full-day program on either Saturday OR Sundays – or both!  

    If you are not quite ready for full-day training, try the Riders half-day program.

    This program follows Canada Snowboard’s “Riders Program ” pathway. Riders are placed into blue and black level groups before heading out.  The snowboarders in this program ride with trained Canada Snowboard coaches and focus on the basic skills needed for safety in slopestyle, jumps, boxes and rail features in the Terrain Park, freeriding, and SBX (Boarder Cross). Athletes will learn about the core skills of snowboarding and will be introduced to competitions and how to warm up, cool down, and have fun.

    Full Day Ages 8+: Registration coming soon

    The Development Team is a competitive development freestyle focused snowboard program.  This invitational program introduces athletes to the high-performance environment and season plans include coaching support at multiple BC Snowboard Provincial series events.  

    The Dev Team is for motivated and driven athletes who have chosen snowboarding as one of their top sports. The Dev Team prepares athletes for a smooth transition to the Comp snowboard team and builds towards FIS competitions and National level events.   

    35 Sessions on snow are planned for the 2024/25 winter season. Training Saturday and Sunday with a modified Christmas Camp schedule. 

    All programs are led by Canada Snowboard certified coaches, and the Dev Team program is delivered by josh Rayber and Craig Moore, some of BC’s best specialists in Freestyle training.

    Dev Team athletes are ages 9+ and commit a minimum of 1-3 days per week (winter and spring) to training and competitions.   Fall dryland sessions at Treeline Park are recommended.

    The Comp Team is a competitive development freestyle focussed snowboard program.  This invitational program supports athletes in the high performance sport environment and Team season plans include coaching support at multiple BC Snowboard Provincial series events.  

    The Comp Team is for motivated and driven athletes who have chosen snowboarding as their main sport. The Comp Team prepares athletes for a smooth transition to elite-level snowboarding and builds towards FIS competitions and National level events.  

     41 Sessions on snow are planned for the 2024/25 winter season. Training Saturday and Sunday with a modified Christmas Camp schedule. 

    All programs are led by Canada Snowboard certified coaches, and the Comp Team program is delivered by Comp Team Head Coach Daniel Curtis and Olympian Crispin Lipscomb with guest coach appearances by Oskar Klein and Lee Coultard  <link to Coaching page> 

    Comp Team athletes are ages 12+ and commit a minimum of 2-4 days per week (winter and spring) to training and competitions. Attendance at Fall dryland sessions at Treeline Park are expected.  

    The Snowboard Comp Team is an invitational performance freestyle/freeride snowboard program focused on high skill level development. Training involves freeride skill development, slopestyle competition preparation and support, strength and conditioning, state of mind, and board repair/ tuning techniques.
