G Team is an extension of Riders that caters to young athletes who identify as female. Participants, aged 8+ years of age, must be strong intermediate snowboarders and must be able to complete S turns using both heels and toe edge on a blue run, able to load and unload the chair lift independently and take care of their own equipment.

It focuses on all freestyle disciplines – slopestyle, jumps, rail features, freeriding, and SBX (Boarder Cross) and has been designed to offer young girls who already love to snowboard, the opportunity to participate and progress through the sport of freestyle in a fun, safe, and encouraging team environment.

Athletes in this program will participate in various workshops throughout the season focusing on goal-setting, self-esteem, and team building, and will be encouraged to participate in local Freestyle events.

    Contact [email protected] to register.

The Junior Development Team is a fun and focused program for athletes 8-older. Athletes will be introduced to the competitive environment and will learn about structured technical and physical training.  Saturday’s program will be focused on Freestyle training and the Sunday program will be focused on Freeride/SBX.  Both programs are for 16-17 sessions and athletes will be encouraged to compete at one traveling competition and are expected to compete at the Silver Star Resort BC Snowboard Provincial competitions.

The Snowboard Jr DTeam is for motivated and driven athletes who have chosen snowboarding as one of their top sports. Athletes in this program generally get an opportunity to compete in local and BC Snowboard provincial events.  This program will prepare athletes for a smooth transition to the Senior Dev team and beyond. Fall dryland sessions are recommended in this program to prepare athletes skills for on-snow training.

Athletes will be coached by experienced Canada Snowboard licensed coaches Craig Moore and Adrian Hrabarchuk. This is an ‘Invite-Only’ program.  And we encourage athletes to join both Saturday and Sunday options if you plan to join the Dev Team in years to come.

If you think the Snowboard Junior DTeam is a fit for you, please contact Coach Daniel Curtis [email protected]
